• NBT is the most incompetent bank I've had the misfortune to have an account with in 40 years of banking. The tellers are confused and clueless - the managers aren't much better. The online account access is crude and not updated for days. Same goes for the phone access - which requires up to 25 key presses to even reach the info! They bounced a check I had sufficient funds to cover - then apologized and corrected their error. Due to the embarrassment and inconvenience I closed the account. ANY other bank is a better option. If you compare you'll easily see how superior other banks are. (Kack, 02/03/2009)
